Privacy policy

Last updated: 14 July 2026

The short version

We don't collect your personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms and no tracking. Whatever you type into the calculators stays in your browser and is never sent to us or anyone else.

Who we are

Redundancy Ireland (redundancytaxireland.ie) is an independent information website about redundancy in Ireland. We are not part of the Irish Government or any state body. You can contact us at show email address.

What we don't collect

  • No names, email addresses or personal details: the site has no accounts or forms.
  • No calculator data: your pay, years of service and other figures are processed only on your device and never leave your browser.
  • No advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics at the moment. If we ever add analytics, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

What's stored on your device

Some features save small pieces of data in your browser's local storage, on your device only. We never see this data:

  • Your checklist ticks on the "What you're owed" page, so they're still there when you come back.
  • Your "Got it" choice on the cookie notice, so we don't show it again.

You can remove this data anytime by clearing your browser's site data. More detail in the cookie policy.

Things outside our control

  • Hosting logs. Like almost every website, the server that hosts this site may keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security. These are managed by our hosting provider and deleted on their normal schedule.
  • Fonts. The site loads its font from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google's servers, which can see your IP address. Google states it does not use these requests for tracking. See Google Fonts privacy.
  • Links to other sites. We link to official sources like Revenue and Citizens Information. Once you leave our site, their privacy policies apply.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have rights over your personal data, including access, correction and deletion. Since we don't collect personal data, in practice there's usually nothing for us to hold, but if you believe we have any data about you, email us and we'll help. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland's supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

If the site changes (for example, if we add analytics), we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
